IT ALL STARTS WITH YOUR
CROWN
Crown Your Beauty is a movement designed to engage, challenge, and develop young Queens. Each girl will lead and experience her own natural hair journey and become inspired to discover her talents and passions in a safe, supportive all-girl setting.

The foundation of each Young Queen’s development is represented by the five points of the Crown:

• Beauty
• College and Career Access
• Health
• Leadership Skills
• Natural Hair

As technology increases, so does the perceptional views of young girls on social media. While each Young Queen may be exposed to these subjects at school, in other youth programs, or even on her own; Crown Your Beauty exists to provide a unique experience that puts her on a path to a lifetime of leadership, self-love, and success.

We seek to develop Crown Your Beauty movements in various schools and cities cultivating a network of young women who are supportive of each other and believe in the power of their CROWN.

Founder of Crown Your Beauty
I am a wife, sister, tia and soror. To young people I am a mentor. With over twelve years experience working in the NYC public school system, I have continued to develop young people to reach their maximum potential. I started my natural hair journey ten years ago transitioning from relaxed hair. My favorite styles are a bomb two-strand twist and you can't go wrong with a puff!

I am a wife, mother, sister and advocate for the youth. I have been working in the NYC public school system for over six years. I have a passion in working with the youth and making a difference. I started my natural hair journey nine years ago and recently did another big chop a year and a half ago. When it comes to my hair, I'm all about protective styles!

WHAT PEOPLE SAY
SHAKIRA, 14, STUDENT
[Makeup] might enhance one's beauty, but it doesn't take away from your beauty.
KEOKA, 17, STUDENT
It's more than just friendship... [its] a bond us women share... celebrate each other, support each other, and being there for one another.
YESENIA, 15, STUDENT
[Being natural] means having your hair in it's raw form... the appearance in which you like to present yourself, without conforming to standards.
