Pastor Mills has served as Pastor of the New Dayspring Missionary Baptist Church since December 2008. In a short period of time God has proven himself through this ministry. Under his leadership, New Dayspring has been the fastest growing ministry in Lake City; various ministries have been added, 10.5 acres of land was purchased for future growth with a focus on outreach, youth development, performing arts, and the worship experience.

Pastor Mills' model scripture is Matthew 6:33, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Pastor Mills is relentless in community involvement. He is passionate about spreading the Gospel to the underprivileged and the unsaved. His vision for outreach to the community is being recognized daily.
